Alain Maury’s publication list

Published on Friday 05 May 2006

A query in the Astrophysical Data System returns 136 publications of which I am author or co-author. I included a few more which were not listed in the ADS.

Hereafter, I divided these into refereed articlesconference proceedingsIAU publications and miscellaneous publications.

I have also given an overview of the conferences to which I participated

Those relate to observations or discovery of a variety of objects, which I discovered or followed up, going from supernovae, asteroids, comets, and more recently detection and photometry of optical counterparts of gamma ray bursts (GRB980519, GRB990123, GRB990724).

IAU Minor Planet Circular indexed in ADS : 54984, 54978, 54362, 54356, 54348, 54103, 53641, 52898, 52507, 51803, 51506, 50906, 50133, 49586, 48901,

IAU Minor Planet Electronic Circulars : 05H13, 05G88, 05G80, 00J03, 99B19, 98W17, 98W02, 98S11, 98E17, 98A17, 97K04, 97E03, 96Q03
Since MPECs are relatively recent, those include mostly discovery notices of interesting objects discovered during the ODAS program (a comet and a few Earth Crossing Asteroids).

Miscellaneous publications

- Maury, Alain A Hypersensitizing Primer - 1988S&T....75..586M - Sky Telesc., 75, 586-589 (1988) (S&T : Sky and Telescope)

- I have written several other papers for french astronomy magazines (L'Astronomie, Ciel et Espace, Pulsar), the last one being in the January 2001 issue of L'astronomie on Near Earth Objects.

- I give several public conferences each year, most of them on Near Earth Objects, and have had interviews in most major french newspapers, radios and TVs.

Participation in international conferences

While far from exhaustive, this list gives an idea of my subject of interests, and their evolution :
- Participation in all but the first of the « Astronomical Photography series », i.e. Nice 81, Edinburgh 84, Jena 87, Garching 1990.
- Participation in most of the conferences organised on NEOs and asteroid hazard : San Juan Capistrano, Tucson, Erice, Vulcano, UNO New York, Torino…
- Member of the 1992 NASA workshop which published the Spaceguard Survey study (24 members, only 2 europeans).
- IAU general assemblies : Baltimore 1998, The Hagen 1993, Kyoto 1997.
- Participation in Asteroids Comets and Meteors meetings : Laggo Maggiore 1993, Versailles 1997.
- Member of the Scientific Organising Committee of the 1991 San Juan Capistrano conference, and IAU colloquium #148 on the future utilisation of Schmidt type telescopes.
- Participation in 3 ESO CCD miniworkshops (1993,1996,1999).
